Primitive Owlbeast Glitch
Written by cd34.

While Herbskinner was helping Qwaitxfour quest in the Hinterlands, we came across a Primitive Owlbeast in the water. Unlike most glitched mobs that evade when you shoot them, this one actually had the swimming animation, but, did evade when we tried to shoot it and even got into melee range.

Owlbeasts can swim…. who knew?

Herbskinner escorted Qwaitxfour on a number of quests that took him into ZF. It was a pretty quick run, all five quests were completed and we killed the final boss for the achievement.

Akrobatik Ninja’s a Frozen Orb
Written by cd34.

Here’s a pally tank with his DPS Ret friend that were looking for a healer for Heroic Violet Hold. I joined, we found a tank druid that wanted to DPS and a death knight. During the run, our tank who bragged about having 32k hit points lost aggro many times where the tank druid in feral pulling 1800dps was able to pull aggro along with the dps pally.

At the end of the run, when Cynigosa does its aggro wipe, our ‘tank’ doesn’t even try to pull aggro resulting in Cynigosa nailing me as soon as I cast the first heal. I figured after the first blast that I healed myself, hit Circle of Healing, got hit again with aggro since the tank wasn’t holding threat and subsequently died. Our druid rezzed me, we all looted and our tank didn’t roll on the orb until everyone had hit greed, then, announced he needed it for his JC.

I am surprised with his 210 Jewelcrafting that there is anything he can do that requires a Frozen Orb.

Master in First Aid – Grand Master in First Aid

cdthirtyfive used up a ton of runecloth and netherweave powerleveling First Aid while searching the world for cooking recipes that were missed over time.

50 Emblems of Heroism
Written by cd34.

cdthirtyfive doesn’t run too many instances, so, it takes a while to earn the Emblems of Heroism. After running VOA-10, I looted my 50th Emblem and earned the achievement.

Superior
Written by cd34.

After running Naxx-10 last night, I noticed that all I needed was one more ring to be equipped for the Superior Achievement. Switching the ring positions or trinket positions is all it takes to earn both equipped slot bonuses, so, I swapped my rings and earned the achievement.

The Fall of Naxxaramas
Written by cd34.

cdthirtyfive was never a PvEer. With my work schedule, I rarely have time to do much more than squeeze in a quick instance like Heroic Violet Hold, run battlegrounds, or participate in the Battle for Wintergrasp.

Last night, qwaitxseven and a few friends of his including Wounds, Basmastersix, Smooch, Unholybeast, Darkdestro, Uprise, Paynolympics did a Naxx-10 ‘pug’ and invited me along. We had ventrillo, so, it wasn’t too difficult to communicate. I didn’t know most of the fights, but, I had watched qwaitxseven do many of them from a dps perspective. I went into it with just above 2100 spellpower, 233 mp5 while casting and just over 800 intellect and just under 800 spirit. After the run, I came out with roughly 2270 spellpower, 852 int, 796 spirit and 281 mp5. In addition, my crit chance went up 3%, I gained an on-spellcast proc haste trinket and about 70 haste. Retnoobchick from Scotch and Waffles was our pally tank and short of a few tight moments here and there, did pretty well. We had some alts that switched out depending on the fight and a Moonkin named Moonsomething near the end.

The run was quick, well organized, very few deaths (3 of which were mine) and a small 28 gold repair bill.

Horde Graveyard Camping
Written by cd34.

I am not one to condone graveyard camping. I hate it in the 29 bracket, hated it in the 70 bracket, and now that I’m in the 80 bracket, I still dislike it.

Alliance have a few people that glitch Wintergrasp and it is frustrating. We’ll be into a game, a wall will be down and instantly we have 12 Demolishers headed for that wall and into the center courtyard, through the walls and we lose Wintergrasp. Once the battle is over, the Alliance on Cho’gall keep their tenacity bonus. So, after this game where Horde defended both workshops extremely well, the Alliance decided to camp the graveyard spawn and repeatedly kill the Horde that were rezzing there. A call out in General chat and our raid group came en masse to help our stranded group members.

It turned into a 15 minute slugfest where we eventually pushed them back to their graveyard, killed all of their NPCs and pushed them into a small little spot. If you’ve never seen what happens when you resurrect in Wintergrasp, you are given a debuff where you cannot be damaged. Since we had killed their flight master and all of the NPCs, the Alliance stayed huddled in a little corner while trying to range dps us. Once in a while someone would get close enough for a death knight to death grip someone, but, a quick dispell and all was good.

They started it, we ended it.

Warsong Gulch assured victory?
Written by cd34.

At the beginning of this Warsong Gulch, it was 5v2, two more people zoned in on Horde side and then Arathi Basin popped. At that point, I believe the two Alliance took the Arathi Basin queue, leaving us with a 7v0 game.

While we could have at least scored a quick early point, somehow our Flag Carrier decided it would be funny to dance around midfield, some Alliance zoned in and quickly got to our flag room. The game ended 3-2 with Horde winning.

At level 80, almost every battleground I have tried starts with a deficit on the horde side except for Alterac Valley. In AV, I have yet to see a match where we didn’t have at least 15 more players than the Alliance. I started twinking after I saw the horde honor farming rather than playing the game. They were concerned with how much honor per hour they could earn and they would queue up for those battlegrounds. The only time you saw decent queues were on battleground holiday weekends and even then, people were there for the ‘quick honor.’

3.1 brings with it Battleground Queuing from anywhere and queuing up for 5 battlegrounds at a time. Now, if people see a game they don’t think will be quick honor, they’ll have 4 other battlegrounds to choose from.

Tie Greed Roll
Written by cd34.

While running Heroic Violet Hold with qwaitxnine, luckystrikex, a mage, and I greed rolled on [item]37867[/item] and both rolled the same number. I’m sure when he rolled that 99, he thought he was almost assured of getting the item until I also rolled a 99.

Luckystrikex, I apologize.
