In Wrath of the Lich King, getting your cooking beyond 400 or so requires completion of a number of Daily Quests to get recipes that allow you to level. You are rewarded one or two Dalaran Cooking Awards which are a currency used to purchase recipes and Northern Spices. Upon completion of the daily, you are also given a Spice Bag which contains a few Northern Spice — required for each cooking recipe obtained in Dalaran.

If you have an alt that has cooking 375 and is level 70, you can buy the spice on one account and send it to your main account, however, recipes are soulbound. All recipes turn green around 440, so, getting those last 10 levels is going to be fun.

When you reach alchemy 400, you are given a recipe that you can make every 7 days which allows you to learn a non-trainable potion. The recipe takes 12 Goldclover, 12 Adder’s Tongue, 4 Talandra’s Rose, 4 Tiger Lily and 4 Enchanted Vials. Unlike Inscription Research, you don’t get any item when you do the research.

My first discovery was Powerful Rejuvenation Potion which restores 2475-4125 mana and health and is usable at level 70. I do not believe you need the expansion pack to use the potions, so, people still playing the Burning Crusade Expansion pack can go into the level 70 instances with mana potions that are quite a bit nicer than the previous ones.

With your fishing skill at 350, you can train Grand Master Fishing and get this achievement.

While Qwaitxseven and Cdthirtyfive were questing in the Borean Tundra, we were low on mana, our buff food was about to expire, so, Cdthirtyfive prepared a [item]34753[/item].

I have to be careful using this with my hunter as Boar may become aggressive.

With the release of ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ the last thing I would have expected to see was a 70 with Rez Sickness getting ready to board the boat to Warsong Hold.

Durotar can be really tough at times.

On the sea-turtle boat from Una’pe to Dragonblight I noticed a carrot on a stick in front of the sea turtle. I am guessing the 3% mount speed increase must speed the turtle up to the normal taxi transport speed.

Blizzard does have a great sense of humor.

After doing the quest How to Serve Goblins it leveled me up to 60. Then I picked up some poop to look for a key.

Bhodi is my 29 Shaman Twink. While I loved playing IBJammin, Bhodi brings a lot more challenge to the game with the recent hunter changes. I’ve changed my playstyle from being a stealthy backstabber to providing quite a bit of support for the team. I am not responsible for our wins as it takes a team effort, but, once in a while you get someone that appreciates your effort.

While I didn’t top the damage or healing charts, I healed where it was necessary, DPSed where I could, and returned two flags by chasing them down when they slipped past midfield. I love my frost shock glyph that extends the length of the shock by two seconds. By the time frost shock is about to expire on my target, the cooldown on Frost shock is ready to be reapplied. With liberal use of purge, even pallies are easy enough to slow and take down.

With the Wrath of the Lich King Release, it didn’t take long for the server queue to pile up. Orgrimmar and Shattrath are ghost towns with everyone exploring Northrend.

Even Northrend wasn’t as packed as the server counts would signify, but, getting to quest mobs was difficult with dozens of people camping the same mobs required for quests. Some of the ‘boss’ mobs were lootable even if you weren’t in the party allowing you to finish the quest before someone could quickly AOE a mob as it respawned taking the kill.

This weekend will be mayhem, but, that’s the thrill of the grind.

So we all know Wrath is coming out on Thursday, we need more space. So while I was getting ready and upgraded my bags and got all the bank bag slots and boom…Achievement. So I will be ready, see you in Northrend.
