Omgimahealer on Spirestone Wins at PVP!
Written by cd34.

Omgimahealer, a 71 Human Priest decided to take on a 25 Warlock in quest gear and he Won! While he was specced shadow at the time, I’m guessing that Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord proved too difficult for him at which point he decided to try leveling in Ashenvale or Felwood.

He’s a dodge priest with his +7 agility to gloves.

A brief video of omgimahealer camping.

Congrats! You couldn’t even one-shot me!

Now, don’t be scared, get back to Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord and level up.

World of Warcraft adds Farms!
Written by cd34.

The mac has some interesting terrain issues from time to time no matter what the settings, but, when running through STV on the PTR, the road was impossible to find and was covered with farmland.

A new skill? I didn’t see it in the talent tree. Perhaps I should find a trainer to see where I can learn farming.

Staying Buffed All Winter
Written by Qwait.

Running with the guild BLEED, we downed Hodir. The achievement requires you to have Toasty Fire, Storm Power and Starlight buffs.

This fight is very nice to have some frost resist gear. So please help your healers out, wear some frost resist gear.

Stormwind Mailbox Glitches
Written by cd34.

On the PTR, the capital cities have new mailboxes, however, most have incorrect names like Doodad_humanmailbox15 or Doodad_humanmailbox16. Unlike the Barber Chairs that are faction specific, the mailboxes are not Faction Specific so, while raiding Stormwind or Ironforge, you can stop to check your Auction House mail.

PvP on the PTR
Written by cd34.

World of Warcraft opened the PTR up recently and I’ve been playing a Rogue premade character on it. At first, looking for a little PVP action on the PvP PTR realm wasn’t too difficult. Walk outside Orgrimmar where dozens of people are dueling and lurking around the rocks are more Alliance rogues than you can imagine. A quick sap and you have a prepackaged rogue ready for the wrath of the hundreds of horde….. or so you would think. Horde toons just don’t seem to care much and will just stand there and watch the guy for 10 seconds until he stealths out again.

Many of the premade characters are also farming rep with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. Combined with the three turnin codes at the vendor that everyone wants to get, there is a steady stream of cross-faction battles around that Goblin.

There are so many dead bodies in Booty Bay floating in the water, around the boardwalks and inside Booty Bay. The number of skeletons in the tunnel last night was just amazing.

Once you head from Booty Bay up to Stormwind for a little more PvP action, as you enter Elwynn Forest, doing a /who results in 24 Horde in the zone. Last night we had a druid/rogue raid on Stormwind which was a lot of fun. Since all of us could stealth, the Alliance had no idea how many people were there.

Along the way I ran across a bunch of dead bodies.

Once you get into Stormwind, there aren’t as many Horde in the channel. For some reason, people get a kick out of people in Trade talking while taking out the Alliance.

Even without a raid going on, about a half hour later we had a few more Horde in Stormwind.

All in all, I only found a few minor combat issues with rogues on the Public Test Realm. Distract seems to lag slightly, but, some of the character classes are a little more balanced. The new instance isn’t up yet and the Battlegrounds and Arena were down after a glitch in the new Battleground.

The Public Test Realm just came up, Battlegrounds and Arena appear to be open, the new Boss is supposedly in VoA but the new Ulduar is still down.

Odd Icethorn Location in Storm Peaks

While collecting Herbs in Storm Peaks, life found a way.

Drunken Haze
Written by cd34.

While battling the Ogres in Bloodmaul, they have an attack effect called ‘Drunken Haze’. While I had never seen the effect on any of my prior toons, I believe the recent ‘video option’ reset in the recent patch probably enabled the effect.

When it happened, I was a little surprised.

An Honorable Kill
Written by cd34.

While doing some quests in the Hinterlands, Sormodann saw me at about 70% health, 2 levels below him, and fighting another mob and decided to attack. 45 levels and my first honorable kill on Cho’gall.

Horde outnumbers Alliance 4:1 on this realm if not more, so, it is always interesting when the Alliance picks a fight. Qwaitxten isn’t that well geared — he’s got the BoA shoulders and the Arcanite Reaper with Crusader, but, other than that it’s all quest gear.

To be fair, Sormodann must be a relatively new hunter as I found it very easy to kill him. No hunters mark, he didn’t disengage and when I ran up to him, it is obvious that he wasn’t used to melee. I guess he felt his 2 levels would have given him a considerable advantage.

Explore Icecrown
Written by cd34.

While Jamespond was leveling, I was flying over to heal a guy that was doing the bone witch’s revenge quest chain which led to the ‘ring of blood’ quests for Icecrown. As I was on my way, I must have run over the last part of Icecrown that I hadn’t discovered and voila, Explore Icecrown.

1500 Quests Completed
Written by cd34.

Since the release of Wrath of the Lich King, Jamespond sat idle. Initially he was leveled to 71 and dropped off in Dragonblight, then, leveled to 73 and left in Conquest Hold as he healed Qwaitxfour when he did the pit quest. When I started leveling him again, he had full rest experience which lasted into the first third of 79. As I level mostly with quests an rarely run instances, to solo from 70-80 takes about 1500 quests.
