Glacial Salmon Pool above the water

While fishing Glacial Salmon on Herbskinner to help Qwaitxseven raise his cooking skill to 425, I came upon a pool that looked a little odd, and every attempt to cast into it resulted in ‘Water is too shallow’ or ‘Your cast didn’t end in fishable water’.

Once I moved the camera angle around, I was able to see why. The Glacial Salmon pool was floating above the water.

Dalaran Cooking Reward

In Wrath of the Lich King, getting your cooking beyond 400 or so requires completion of a number of Daily Quests to get recipes that allow you to level. You are rewarded one or two Dalaran Cooking Awards which are a currency used to purchase recipes and Northern Spices. Upon completion of the daily, you are also given a Spice Bag which contains a few Northern Spice — required for each cooking recipe obtained in Dalaran.

If you have an alt that has cooking 375 and is level 70, you can buy the spice on one account and send it to your main account, however, recipes are soulbound. All recipes turn green around 440, so, getting those last 10 levels is going to be fun.
