These guys have all demonstrated their ability to kill players 20+ levels below them. The thought of actually killing someone that might be similarly geared scares them, so, they have to attack players that have little chance of killing them.

Most of these weren’t even one-shots… unlucky random number generator? lag? Wasn’t in PvP gear?

I wonder what excuse each would use.

Boethia ganks… barely

While leveling a priest on the Alliance side of Cho’gall, I was ganked by many different players. This one was particularly bad since I actually timed how long it took for an 80 Shaman to kill me while I was questing. He actively looked for me after the first kill since I moved to a different area to continue questing as I had little chance of killing someone 40 levels above me.

But, three kills and it took him 38 seconds, 21 seconds and 18 seconds to kill me. The last two, I was bubbled from killing one of the ooze, the first one I kept healing myself – he didn’t do any interrupts or anything.

Hopskip ganks and camps

It is always impressive when someone that is epic geared is able to kill someone that is 40-45 levels below. My guess is that they are PVE geared and can’t PVP, so, they take on targets that they know they can kill.

I believe he was going for the Insane title, but, he actually had to use all of his openers rather than just openly killing me.

Omgimahealer on Spirestone Wins at PVP!

Omgimahealer, a 71 Human Priest decided to take on a 25 Warlock in quest gear and he Won! While he was specced shadow at the time, I’m guessing that Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord proved too difficult for him at which point he decided to try leveling in Ashenvale or Felwood.

He’s a dodge priest with his +7 agility to gloves.

That Takes Class

While cdthirtyfive and meathandler were trying to kill Shade in Hour of the Worg, the PvP battle continued with cdthirtyfive earning ‘That Takes Class.’

Know thy Enemy

While cdthirtyfive was doing Hour of the Worg, a gnome rogue ganked me right after a druid and I had killed Selas. After a quick corpse walk, he killed Meathandler, the 79 druid I was questing with. Turns out, he and an 80 lock were escorting a 75 warrior through the quest. We ignored him and went on to kill Varlam which is where they had come down from, and, the gnome kills me, then the druid again. At this point, during the corpse walk back, I’m out for revenge. They’re fighting Goremaw, I dot each of them up and kill the warrior and the druid got the lock, but, again, the rogue with less than 100hp is able to kill the druid and I forcing yet another corpse walk.

Since we know where they are headed, its a race back to see if we can disrupt them as they try to take out Shade of Arugal. They clear the mobs around the boss, my rez timer was almost up, they attack the boss, I run in, fear bomb, dot each of them, watch the lock and warrior die, the rogue sprinted down and killed me again. This went on for at least 3-4 more attempts of theirs on Shade. Around this time, a mage and priest join our party and its an all out war with both sides preventing the other from completing the quest.

In the end, my quest reward was [Furred Worgslayer Spaulders] which was vendored as I was wearing green shoulders I had received while questing in Zul’drak which had better stats. But, after turning in a few quests, it was off to Storm Peaks to begin the 77-80 grind.

Make Love Not Warcraft

Both Herbskinner and cdthirtyfive earned this achievement within a day of each other and both by accident.

Herbskinner and Qwaitxnine were in Borean Tundra responding to a Rogue/Pally that were ganking in the Coldrock Quarry. Dkhealer didn’t appear to be questing at the time and appeared to mostly be a pocket healer for Istabu. After a few deaths, they called in an 80 gnome rogue named Wulf. That went on for a while until it was time for Wintergrasp and we left.

Cdthirtyfive just happened to be questing and saw a battle at Granite Springs in Grizzly Hills and hugged Danknug.

Jboogiee and Brodas ganking in ‘The Charred Vale’

When I created Bhodi, I realized that in order to get the gear I needed, I wouldn’t have a lot of playtime to learn how to effectively play a Shaman. Knowing which totems to use when, what keybindings would be helpful, etc was something I needed to know before I had all of the gear and enchants, so, I created a Shaman on another realm. Truth be told, I created Gotmooh on Alterac Valley before deciding to make a Shaman twink, but, never leveled him past level 8. After Bhodi hit level 23 or so, I decided to level Gotmooh to 29, try and get a little gear for him including Bleeding Crescent, Clink Shield and some other gear.

While I was out doing a little mining, Jboogiee, a 69 paladan struggled to kill me. His first strike was a miss, I stayed in ghost wolf form and got reasonably far away from him before he could mount up and kill me. I rezzed, continued mining and watched him kill a 23 warlock before coming back after me. After I got ganked the third time, I changed direction and went mining again at which point Brodas saw me, dismounted, attacked my Stoneclaw totem and got stunned, ran through my binding totem before turning around and then bam, Jboogiee decided to kill me again.

After that one, they decided to camp me and I took a few screenshots.

Bravo Jboogiee and Brodas for being able to kill someone 20 levels below you and having to pair up to do it.

Llak, 37 Human Warrior tries to gank a lowbie

While questing in Thousand Needles and raising my mining, both of us arrived at an Iron node at roughly the same time. I had just finished mining it as he stood and stared at me, I waved, he then changed to battle stance telling me that there was an impending charge about to occur. I figured, well, I’m dead, but, I’ll put up the good fight since I was a 24 at the time and couldn’t see his level, it wasn’t until I pulled up the armory after the screenshot that I found out what level he was.

So, he charges, I drop a Stoneclaw totem and an Earthbind totem, cast Instant Ghost Wolf to get a little distance, turn around and see him attack the Stoneclaw totem (yes, he got stunned). I pulled away a little and he decided to pursue. He aggroed the quest giver at Whitereach Post, killed him without much difficulty as I spun around and healed Kanati Greyclound (another questgiver NPC) and tossed a few Lightning Bolts and a Frost Shock in there for good measure and watched him drop. I guess he took offense to this as he called in Oxian a 44 Dranei Hunter to ambush me when I came back to return the quest. It just happened that a 70 rogue from our side was escorting one of his guildies through to Feralas when he saw me die and he decided to kill Oxian a few times.

I ran into Llak one more time in Thousand Needles and again, he tried to gank me. I ended up kiting him around through some mobs and he died again. His third attempt resulted in me running.
